Parkitect is, in my opinion, just another great theme park sim to play but is a lot simpler than Planet Coaster as far as decorating and building things, although you CAN get very detailed. This is the theme park game I really needed in my life! Although I wouldn't call this game simple, it does offer the laid back feeling I always had with the Roller Coaster Tycoon games that I don't get from others like Planet Coaster. I'm not a super creative or detailed builder, so the art style and mechanics are really enjoyable for me. I think this is a must-have if you love theme park building and management!. If you were a fan of the original two RCT games then do not hesitate on buying this game. This does everything that those games did, and I would argue that it is done better.. Got this one a while back. Never really got around to playing it sat in my library overshadowed by higher budget higher end games. Then my gaming rig broke and I was stuck with my old laptop for a few weeks. Rediscovered this little gem. Very well designed spiritual successor of the initial RCT (1 and 2) series. The scenario's are well designed and provide a good challenge (the optional objectives offer a good challenge for the seasoned gamer and the non-time bound ones still allow the mellow player to progress). This beats Planet Coaster in the management department by a long shot, even though the creative aspect is a bit lackluster and clunky in Parkitect. At least the graphics do look charming and the workshop is full enough of blueprints, because the building in this game is a bit tedious and nowhere near as rewarding as it is in Planet Coaster. I still give this game a good 7.5\/10.. Really captures that feeling of Roller coaster tycoon I was missing that planet coaster was not filling. The way you have to manage staff and keep then hidden from the park-goers while keeping things stocked is also a really fun feature.The way the monthly profits are handled and shown is really enjoyable and I find myself managing pennies in the screen.overall really great game. Can't say anything negative. also I recommend a free camera mod to take away the fake 3D 2D that is actually 3D.. If you grew up loving Roller Coaster Tycoon then this is definitely the game for you. Having played both Planet Coaster and Parkitect I would recommend Parkitect to those who like a more simple interface and smoother computer performance. Also make sure to explore the mods section of the workshop to unlock the full potential of this gem of a game.. It's a fun, relaxing game with challenging scenarios and lots of customization options. I think it has a good balance of management challenges and creativity in scenarios. Love building custom coasters and decorating parks in scenarios. I have never played another rollercoaster building game so can't compare it to planet coaster of RCT series.. Great game.in the tradition of rollercoaster tycoon. Easy to play and figure out. Hope some good DLC is coming soon
